Miche Bag Care Instructions

Your new Miche Bag is made from the finest men made and natural fibers. They are made to be stylish and durable. To keep your Miche Bag looking as new as possible, we suggest you follow the following care instructions:

The Miche Bag is designed to expand. However, if you find the sides of your bag are losing shape, you are overstuffing your bag.

When it comes to changing shells on your base, make sure to remove the shells from the center top, NOT at the corners. Over time, if you always pull on the corners they will start to bend leaving “dog ears”.

Also, remove the shells with your thumbs, NOT your nails. Constantly removing shells with your nails will start to scratch the edges of your shells.

When applying a shell, make sure all edges are lined up properly and all magnets make contact.
Some Miche shells are made with a material called PU (polyurethane), often referred to as “faux leather”. One of the characteristics of this material is the potential to transfer color from one shell to another. Simply store each shell in the plastic bag the shell arrived in when stacking or storing. Or you will want to place a protective barrier such as fabric or the plastic bag the shell arrived in, in between all shells when stacking or storing, whether on a shelf or in the closet organizer. Ziploc brand bags in 2 and 3 gallon size also work well for storing. These shells can also be affected by heat and humidity so make sure that you store them at room temperature.

Shells left in vehicles can heat up dramatically and are then especially prone to color transfer.
Color transfer caution stickers appear on the Scarlett and Sophie shells, as these are particularly prone to color transfer issues, but any faux leather shell can have this issue.

Avoid hanging your purse from the handles (ex.: from a doorknob, etc.). Always place the base of your purse on a flat surface, with all of the weight bearing on the purse bottom and not on the handles.
